Stephen founded StoneBridge Wireless (SBW) in October of 2000 as a MN corporation after nearly a year of business development. Mr. Gowdy has 20 years of computer and telecommunications technology related experience. A veteran of Bell Atlantic Business Systems Services, Mr. Gowdy has garnered invaluable experience in solution based broadband services.

What are your position responsibilities at SBW? 
I manage the office, am responsible for the administration of accounts payable, accounts receivable, human resources, and customer advocacy.

What is your background?
Worked for Bell Atlantic Business Systems Services for nine years. Bell Atlantic, now renamed Verizon, has recently sold off and the Bell Atlantic Business Systems Services Division and was renamed DecisionOne Corp. DecisionOne is now North America’s largest independent computer maintenance company and the third largest provider of xDSL installation services in the nation. 

Mr. Gowdy has held the following positions with Bell Atlantic / DecisionOne:
Network Services Consultant, Sales Support Engineer, Business Development Manager, Line of Business Manager – Network Services, Account Manager, Senior Sales Representative and National Account Manager.

DecisionOne (now separate from Bell Atlantic) is the third largest installer of xDSL services to the nation. xDSL, primarily used by the Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers (ILEC), is one of the two major platforms for providing high speed Internet access; the other provided by cable companies. He gained considerable knowledge regarding the telecommunication companies’ xDSL business and the considerable limitations to xDSL and cable. 

Stephen attended numerous installation and training workshops from the industry’s leading providers. He then developed a service-based business model which could provide broadband wireless Internet access and its emerging technology to any group of subscribers at any location.
